Designs & Kits
On this page you will find original designs for knitwear and beaded objects that you can purchase as kits, complete with yarns or beads (or both) and patterns AND as finished product. All are limited edition items and once the stock is sold it will not be replaced. Keep checking here for new items. Needles & Supplies needed are not included in the kits, but are identified in the text next to the picture. You can order any of these separately.

All sales are final. Refunds are not available unless there is a clear product defect in the yarns in kits in which case a replacement will be sent upon proof of the defect.

Lichen Inspired Felted Purse ©
This is the most popular seller in my shop. Inspired by the colors of the mosses and lichens in the area, if you like earth tones this is the purse for you. The bottom is a deep bronze-gold (tamarack in the autumn), this color continues into the body of the bag which has subtle stripes of deep forest greens and rich brown. The model is shown with a flowered tab, weighted to provide closure to the bag that allows expansion and contraction of the purse as objects are placed into it or removed. Tab and flower are both optional, as is strap style, so look at the other felted purse pictures and imagine yours with the straps you prefer.
Base price for the kit is: $51. Add $5 for Noni flower pattern. DYO available.
Finished product (no two alike, allow 3 weeks for completion): $120.00
Beads & beading are extra. You will need 24" size 11, 13 & 15 needles and size 11 double points.

Lake Superior Blue Felted Purse ©
As the name suggests this purse allows visitors to our area to bring a memory of Lake Superior home with them rich. You can rename it for your favorite body of water with its deep Persian turquoise, delicate sky blues and rich handpaint blues. Models pictured give you a good idea of how you might knit features to suit your tastes: one wide strap or two thinner looking but equally sturdy straps; bobbles, or not. There’s enough yarn for you to be able to choose and directions that help insure you have enough yarn left for your choice.

Flower Flap & Bobbles Felted Purse ©
Bright and happy, this purse features a rich deep red bottom, gold, deep green and handpaint color stripes accented by bobbles, if desired. Don’t care for the bobble look? Just knit without – that’s the beauty of making your own stuff, you can tailor it to your whims. Bright and full of spring color the dominant colors of this tote style purse are kiwi green and deep rose. Award Winner Felted Purse ©
Deep plum, rich magenta with bright bands of handpaint subdued by a delicate forest lichen green – this purse is an interesting mix of nature’s colors. I guess the Cook County Fair judges thought so too, because it received a blue ribbon in its class. This particular version is a very limited edition, as one of the yarns is no longer available.

Design Your Own:
You can create your own color scheme for any of the designs marked with the letters "DYO" Leave a message in the comment section below. Be sure to include the names of specific colors you want included as well the overall scheme (e.g overall scheme beige with some pale greens). Remember: yarn is not paint and I will need to use specific yarns to accomodate the designs so some colors may not be exact. I will do my best to come up with a scheme that will work for you. Expect price variation when you design your own. Complex choices that necessitate pattern changes will require a designer's fee.
